4. What color pants do you have on right now? jeans (bubblegum brand jeans, which have stars for studs instead of just little brass circles :). stars make me happy).

What is right next to you? a stack of post-it notes, a jar of jelly bellies (yay megan!!), a container of doc martens leather oil, my origami day calendar ('acrobatic horse' was today's), stamps, my silver ring, a stack of CD's (sam shaber perfect, schumann piano concerto in a minor, the world's favorite piano music - played by Van Cliburn, a blank CD), two rolls of duct tape (for pants. which I SWEAR i will make), an astronomy CD-rom.
8. What is your computer desk made of? wood? or some reasonable facsimile (most likely plastic wood).
9. What are the last four digits of your phone number? 0968. last year it was 6427 and I still answer that sometimes when my brain isn't awake yet.
10. What was the last thing u ate?: I'm eating jelly bellies too, megan :) my last one was very cherry, I think.
11. If you were a crayon, what color would you be? dandelion, definitely.
12. Where do you want to go on your honeymoon? um.. ? maybe paris, but most likely somewhere tropical (will the person I marry be able to speak french?)
13. Do you have a lava lamp? yup. clear water with green lava.
14. Do you like snow, sun or rain? oh gosh, sun. I had a dream last night that I was at the beach. it was the kind of dream you'd rather not wake from. (rain is good too, if I'm running or walking with a friend and it's warm rain and constant and dripping down my hair and if I'm wearing good clothes for the rain - not my cordoroys or jeans).
15. How is the weather right now? nicer than it has been, but it worries me. It's probably about forty, maybe a little less. Windy as always. but the crocuses are starting to come up, and I want to shout at them, I want to tell them to go back down, it isn't spring yet! I want to save them. Maybe they know better than I do.. I hope so. Nothing is sadder than flowers who have bloomed too early.
17. What did you do last night? what DID I do last night?? I worked on my french presentation (on Francois Truffaut, french new wave director of the 1950s, and practiced. and slept. and talked online. :)
18. Last person you talked to on the phone? my stepfather, yesterday on speakerphone (because randomly my handset doesn't work).
19. What's the nicest thing that you find in the opposite sex? someone not afraid to be who they are - and not afraid of who I am, either.
20. How are you today? earlier I was jubilant. It was beautiful out and I was finished with all those things I had had to be nervous about - my french presentation and my performance in master class. but then I had one of those days where it's better if you don't open your mouth because everything that comes out is awkward and embarrassing and horrible. still, it wasn't bad.
21. How do you eat an Oreo? dipped in milk until it's slightly soggy and then eaten in one bite :)
22. What makes you happy? springtime coming, summer, the beach, making collages, yummy smells, comfy jeans, good hair days, sleeping late, crying over good books and moving music, horseback riding, love, the promise of love. friends.
23. Hair color? brown. with blondish streaks (but they're not like you think when I say that. they're subtle and caused by sunshine and summer and lifeguarding). and reddish tints, occasionally. I think "russet" a lot, but the connotations of that might be more red than my hair is. It's really just a mousy brown with slight variations :)

27. Do you wear contacts? nope. still stuck with these stupid glasses (since second grade). but the optometrist promises that this summer I can finally get contacts.
28. Do you have any siblings? Yes, a brother and a sister. they're twins and they're three years old.

31. What do you like to do? ride, read, laugh, play, play clarinet, swing on swingsets, look at stars, sleep, watch cartoons, play in quintet, sing, drive, be assertive, love, run, stretch, walk barefoot, be outside.
32. What's the best advice given to you? be yourself, no matter what. But I think I still had to learn that one on my own.
33. What do you want to be when you grow up? grow up? I don't think I have plans to do that. but in case I do, I want to drive a tractor trailor across the country. I want a motorcycle. I want to be happy, in love, confident, financially secure, wicked sexy, daring, and still me.

36. Who is the funniest person you know? it all depends on our moods. :) everyone, at different points.

42. Do you like to dance? yes, but I've never danced, really. I just bop around in my room :).
43. Are you too shy to ask someone out? no, in some ways, although it takes so so so much mental preparation on my part. I asked Mike out (over email) for coffee last semester.
